Skuld: Series: Ah! Megamisama!/Oh! My Goddess! Worn At: Otakon2k3 Awards Won: Did Not Enter Created By: Sakaki, Paul, EtoileEyes

This incarnation of Skuld's coat was the creation of EtoileEyes, my very good friend. We finished it the morning I wore it, and neither of us would much recommend those cute little hand-held sewing machines ever again. There were a lot of safety-pins holding this one together! EtoileEyes was my Bell.

Creating Skuld's earrings required a bit of soldering and spraypaint. The wig is so heavy, however, that you cannot see the earrings at all.

My stepfather, Paul, taught me how to use a lathe. We used the lathe to create the staff and Skuld's "dangly" accessories out of solid maple. The staff is my pride and joy ... it is made of solid hardwood for durability, spraypainted with car enamel for the super-shiny look, the gold is worn with use, and the gold rings make a wonderful sound when the mallet is shaken.

The belt accessory broke while waiting for the Otakon masq, but was repaired afterwards. Tea was spilled on this coat, and as neither EtoileEyes or I trust the stitching of that portable machine to hold up under a cleaning, this version was retired.
